RF Frequency Coordination & Registration

2026 NASCAR, PGA Championship, U.S. Open Championship and USTA US Open

Issued by Broad Comm — RF Coordination Team

All Partners, Broadcasters, Vendors, and Attendees,

To ensure reliable, conflict-free wireless communications throughout the event, all partners, broadcasters, vendors, contractors, and attendees operating wireless equipment on tournament or track grounds must register their devices and request radio frequencies prior to use. Broad Comm provides a centralized Frequency Request Portal serving for these events. Yes, this is a new system that in the future will make your frequency registration management much easier and convenient. Yes, we will still be onsite and yes, we will have stickers! If you have issues, questions, or problems with the system, please reach out to Lee Miller at leemiller@broad-comm.com or call him at 936-674-5912.

📡 Registration & Frequency Requests

Who Must Register: Any partner, broadcaster, vendor, contractor, or attendee operating wireless communication equipment at the .these events, including:

  • Two-way radios
  • Wireless intercom systems (including ENG/EFP and tournament operations)
  • Wireless microphones (on-course commentary, interview positions, ceremonies)
  • In-ear wireless monitoring systems (IFBs / IEMs)
  • Wireless camera transmitters (RF cameras, POV systems, tower cams)
  • Drones (subject to USGA, PGA of America, and FAA airspace authorizations)
  • Microwave and satellite links (TV live trucks, ENG vehicles, COFDM links)
  • Portable Studio-Transmitter Links (STL) and remote audio links
  • CBRS radio systems and private LTE/5G nodes
  • Telemetry transmitters (course measurement, agronomy sensors, scoring)
  • Public safety radios and devices outside law enforcement / government-only bands
  • Any other RF device requiring frequency coordination

When to Register:

  1. Registration opens 60 days prior to each event.
  2. Early registration is strongly encouraged to ensure frequency availability and approval prior to credential pickup and equipment check-in.
  3. On-site walk-up registration may be accommodated as capacity allows but cannot be guaranteed.

🚫 Devices That Do Not Require Registration

  • Mobile phones (cellular devices on commercial carrier networks)
  • Bluetooth headphones or earbuds
  • Wi-Fi-only devices (tablets, laptops on venue or media-center Wi-Fi)
  • Consumer Bluetooth accessories (smartwatches, fitness trackers, range finders without telemetry uplink)

Access the portal at:

NASCAR: https://rf.nascar.com

All other Events: https://rf.broad-comm.com

Getting started: During account registration you will be required to setup a multi-factor authentication (MFA) token. You may already have an app that you use such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator.  Be sure you have one available before you start. Note: Beware of a fake Microsoft-look alike authenticator app that asks you to pay money – be sure you get the real thing.

📝 How to Register

  1. Access the Portal: Open a supported web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) and go to https://rf.broad-comm.com or https://rf.nascar.com
  2. Create an Account: Enter your name, company or broadcaster affiliation, role/job title, email address, and mobile number. These details are required to associate your registration with your organization and to issue your MFA token.
  3. Verify MFA: Complete multi-factor authentication setup when prompted.
  4. Log In to the Portal: Return to the login page, enter your credentials, and access the portal.
  5. Register Equipment: Open the Equipment Registration module and enter your wireless devices individually, or use the bulk upload template for larger inventories. Note: Devices must be in your instance before using the bulk upload. Add ONLY 1 device per frequency. If you have 12 repeater pairs, enter 24 radios. Then request a frequency per device
  6. Select an Event: Navigate to the Event Calendar and select the event you will be supporting. Each event must be requested separately, even if equipment is identical.
  7. Enter your frequency: Begin by selecting your preferred frequency. If you do not have one, we will make the assignment. If the frequency you choose is not viable, you receive a communication with a good frequency.
  8. Submit Your Request: Review your equipment entries and contact details for accuracy, then click Submit. You will receive a confirmation message and, upon coordination, a summary of your frequency allocation.
